The 25th International Congress of Applied Psychology (ICAP) was jointly hosted and organized by the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) and the National University of Singapore and held under the auspices of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP). This quadrennial Congress took place at the Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre from July 7 to July 12, 2002.

The theme of the congress is "Making Life Better for All: A Challenge for Applied Psychology." This Congress aimed to bring applied psychologists from all over the world to a vibrant and rapidly developing region.

A comprehensive spread of submitted symposia, conversation hours, debates, demonstrations, films/videos, and panels is planned. There will be individual oral and poster presentations as well.

Commercial and technical exhibitors have been invited to present the latest technology, instrumentation, products and services for psychologists. Companies or organizations wishing to participate should contact the Congress Secretariat for further details.

The 14 divisions of the IAAP will be sponsoring their own symposia as well as presidential, keynote and invited speakers. This Call for Papers invites authors to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations and for symposia by 30 Oct 2001. Those wishing to submit for early consideration should do so by 30 Jun 2001.

It’s time to begin planning to participate in the IAAP’s XXV International Congress of Applied Psychology. Sponsored by the Singapore Psychological Society and the National University of Singapore, the XXV ICAP promises to be a most exciting and stimulating Congress. The outstanding invited addresses, symposia and research papers that will be presented will help you to keep up with psychology’s rapidly expanding knowledge base and the many new and important advances in professional practice.

The hotel accommodations, International Airport, and Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre are among the best in the world, and will be augmented by the beautiful facilities of the National University of Singapore. The Congress organizers are also planning pre-and post-Congress excursions to nearby Malaysia, Indonesia, and other countries in Southeast Asia. Please take advantage of this unique opportunity to catch-up on advances in scientific psychology and professional practice, and to explore interesting places in this unique and beautiful part of our world.
One of the main objectives of the Singapore Congress was to showcase the contributions that the various special fields of psychology can make to society, thus making it a "better life for all". Practitioners, academics and researchers will gather to contribute towards the kaleidoscopic pictures arising from different theoretical and conceptual perspectives, resulting in a greater appreciation of the questions that should be asked in seeking to advance understanding and knowledge of human sexual behavior. For instance why is the pics of big tits round asses make men weak at the knees?

XXV ICAP is the first Congress in the new millennium for the oldest applied psychology world congress, first held in 1920. Accordingly, the construction and implementation of the scientific program is a signature of what can be achieved with effective international dialogue through harnessing the capabilities of the new millennium global communication network. The leadership is international, and the keynote and invited speakers are giants in their respective specialist fields of psychology.
